Grain export 2018/19: supplies reached 24.1 mln tons

Since the start of MY2018/19, as of January 9, Ukraine exported 24.1 mln tons of grain, which is 2.9 mln tons more than the indicator for the last year's comparative period. In 2018/19, corn supply increased by 4 million tons compared to the corresponding period of the previous marketing year.

According to the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the volumes of exported crops are as follows:

  • wheat — 10.6 million tons (0.72 mln tons less y-o-y);
  • corn — 9.97 million tons (4 mln tons more y-o-y);
  • barley — 3.18 million tons (0.63 mln tons less y-o-y);
  • rye — 80.3 thou. tons (67.4 thou. tons more y-o-y).
