Global grain production in 2018/19 up 3 mln t

The projection for global corn production in MY2018/19 has improved by 3 million tons to 1.076 million tons (the previous forecast — 1.073 million tons), the International Grains Council (IGC) reports.

The global corn production in MY2018/19 will decrease by 29 million tons compared with MY2017/18.

Corn trade will reach 160 million tons, which is 1 million tons more than the previous forecast, and by 8 million tons than in MY2017/18.

Since the start of MY2018/19, as of January 23, Ukraine exported 26.45 mln tons of grain, which is 3.59 mln tons more than the indicator for the last year's comparative period.
