Astarta's barley exports in 4Q2018 dropped 98%

In 4Q2018, the agri-industrial holding Astarta-Kyiv exported 98% less barley.

Barley sales decreased from 704 tons in 4Q2017 to 17 tons in 4Q2018.

In the reporting period, corn sales volumes increased 61% to 158.374 thou. tons, whereas wheat sales reduced 7% to 74.98 thou. tons.

Earlier the company informed that it had harvested a record high level of grains and oilseeds — 1.065 mln tons (+35% y-o-y). Total harvest of corn was over 620 thou. tons with the average yield of the crop of 9.8 tons per ha. Some production units of the Group reached the yields level of 11.5 tons per ha. Sugar beet harvest was less compared with the results of 2017 on the reduced area under the crop and stood at 1.8 million tons.
