President Poroshenko signed a law extending the moratorium on farmland sales

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed the draft law No. 2666-VIII "On Amendments to Section X "Transitional Provisions" of the Land Code of Ukraine on the extension of the prohibition on the alienation of agricultural land" of January 20th, 2018.
АgroРolit.com reports that the document provides for the extension of the ban on the sale of agricultural land until January 1, 2020.
The law comes into force on the day after the official publication.
As previously reported, the Ministry of Economic Development recommended the President of Ukraine to veto the law on the extension of the moratorium on the sale of agricultural land.
