Astarta-Kyiv purchased 130 railcars

In January-February 2019, the agro-industrial holding Astarta-Kyiv purchased 130 grain hopper cars manufactured by Ukrainian producers Dniprowagonmash and Kryukov Railway Car Building Works.

"Over 10 thou. tons of agri produce have already been transported by this new fleet. Astarta expects to acquire additional 70 grain hoppers in March 2019," the company informed.

The holding expects the in-house wagon fleet to enhance and reinforce logistics sustainability, especially during the peak seasons. For the effective management of the own and leased fleet, the forwarding service department has already been established.

Earlier it was reported that Astarta-Kyiv had entered into a preliminary agreement for the purchase of an elevator in the Khmelnytsky region as part of a 3-year investment program.
