Grain export 2018/19: supplies surged 23 pct

Grain exports from Ukraine as of March 27th reached 36.7 million tons. The Agrarian Ministry reports that this volume is 6.8 million tons (23 pct) more than the indicator for the last year's comparative period.

The volumes of exported crops are as follows:

  • wheat — 13.2 million tons (0.68 million tons less y-o-y);
  • corn — 19.5 million tons (7.7 million tons more y-o-y);
  • barley — 3.3 million tons (0.76 million tons less y-o-y);
  • rye — 0.088 million tons (0.63 million tons more y-o-y).

As previously reported, over the first nine months of the test mode, Cargill and M.V. Cargo terminal in the port of Yuzhny (Odesa region) transshipped 1 million tons of grain.
