Pork exports grew 43 pct in Jan-Feb

In January-February 2019, pork exports from Ukraine increased 43 pct to 69 thou. tons (2018: 44.5 thou. tons), Finance.ua informs.
The indicated export volume exceeds the year 2017 result by 77 pct (36 thou. tons).
The key importers of pork from Ukraine in the reporting period are as follows:
- Saudi Arabia — 8.4 thou. tons;
- the Netherlands — 4.4 thou. tons;
- Slovakia — 3.2 thou. tons;
- Azerbaijan — 1.9 thousand tons;
- Iraq — 1.5 thou. tons;
- Armenia — 1.3 thou. tons;
- Germany — 1.3 thou. tons;
- Moldova — 1.1 thou. tons.
In February 2019, chicken exports almost reached the level of 2017 and amounted to 9.7 thou. tons with a total value of USD 3.8 million.
The key importers of chicken in February are the following states:
- Poland — 6.3 thou. tons;
- Hungary — 1.3 thou. tons;
- Germany — 0.9 thou. tons.
