New Ukrainian wheat standard effective Aug.1

An order was issued in Ukraine to adopt a new standard for wheat DSTU 3768:2019 "Wheat. Technical conditions" replacing the current DSTU 3768:2010, Elevatorist.com reports.

The new national standard for wheat addresses the number of wheat classes and methods for determining quality indicators of grain.

Order №125 of May 14th 2019 is published on the official website of the Ukrainian Research and Training Center of Standardization, Certification and Quality and is effective August 1st 2019.

In 2018/19, the production of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine is estimated at 69.8 million tons, the forecast of export volumes stands at 49 million tons.
