USDA expects a 1.4x higher rapeseed production in Ukraine
USDA experts project the growth of rapeseed exports from Ukraine in the season 2019/20 (September-August) to 3.5 mmt, 1 mmt more from 2018/19.
By the latest WASDE, the forecast for exports of all oilseeds was reduced to 5.55 mmt, 10 thousand tons less from the previous estimates. Oilseeds processing is projected at 16.7 million tons, 10 thousand tons less.
Export estimates of Ukrainian vegetable oil fell to 6.1 million tons, 2 thousand tons less from the May forecast. Sunflower export forecasts for 2019/20 remain at the level of 150 thou. tons, oilseed meal — 4.7 mmt, vegoils — 5.6 mmt.
In terms of oilseeds processing in Ukraine, the USDA forecast stands at 16.65 mmt, oilseeds export is expected to reach 5.15 mmt, meal exports — 5.17 mmt, vegoil supplies — 6.21 mmt.
As previously reported, the USDA experts lowered the forecast for world production of soybean meal in 2019/20 to 241,51 mmt, 0.21 mmt less than the previous forecast (241.72 mmt).
