Grain export 2019/20: supplies surged 2.1x

From the start of the 2019/20 season, Ukraine exported 696 thou. tons of grain and leguminous crops. Commodities shipment increased 2.1x (363 thou. tons) from the prior year's comparative period — 333 thou. tons.

In the reporting period, by the data of the Agrarian Ministry grain exported volumes are as follows:

  • wheat —  71 thou. tons (up 21 thou. tons y-o-y);
  • barley — 36 thou. tons (down 66 thou. tons y-o-y);
  • corn — 558 thou. tons (up 408 thou. tons y-o-y).

Rye was not shipped in the indicated period.

In the 2018/19 season, grain exports from Ukraine reached 49,74 mmt. This volume is 21 percent (10,37 mmt) higher from the indicator for the last year's comparative period (39,37 mmt).
