Ukrainian seaports boosted grain shipment by 1.5x

In the period of June 29 – July 5, grain shipment from the Ukrainian seaports reached 784 thou. tons, 56.8 percent up from the previous week (500 thou. tons), the APK-Inform consultancy reports.

Wheat exports in the reporting period increased 24 percent wk/wk to 74 thou. tons vs. 27 thou. tons.

According to the report, shipments of corn and barley reached 633 thou. tons, up to 77 thou. tons vs. 27 thou. tons last week.

The top-3 importers of grain in the reporting period are Turkey (181 thou. tons), Egypt (167 thou. tons) and the Netherlands (107 thou. tons).

In the 2018/19 season, grain exports from Ukraine reached 49,74 mmt. This volume is 21 percent (10,37 mmt) higher from the indicator for the last year's comparative period (39,37 mmt).
