Grain export 2019/20: Ukraine exported 21 mln t of grain

Since the beginning of 2019/20, Ukraine has exported 21.35 mln t of staple grains. As of November 13th, the commodities shipment increased by 6.16 mln t (40.6%) compared to the same period of the previous year, the information and analytical portal of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine reports.

The grain export structure in the reporting period is as follows:

  • wheat — 12.34 mln t (4.09 mln t more y-o-y);
  • barley — 3.37mln t (421 thou. t more y-o-y);
  • corn — 5.34 mln t (1.69 mln t more y-o-y);
  • rye — 5 thou. t (59.8 thou. t less y-o-y).

According to Tymofiy Mylovanov, Minister for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, the staple grain production is expected to reach 74 mln t, which is 4 mln t more than in 2018. The forecast is based on preliminary estimations and regional reports.
