Agricultural production in Ukraine up 3.3 pct in 10M 2019

In January-October 2019, the volume of agricultural production in Ukrainian farms of all categories increased by 3.3% from the prior year's comparative period.

The State Statistics Service of Ukraine (SSSU) reports that the growth of agricultural production was observed in the enterprises (+7.2%), while in the households there was a decrease (-1.8%).

Crop production in 10M 2019 increased by 3.9% from the relevant period a year earlier, and livestock production — by 1.5%, SSSU informs.

Previously reported that harvesting of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine by Nov. 14 was conducted on the area of 14.7 mln ha or 96% of the total. The crop reached 71.4 mln t using the average yield of 4.85 t/ha (2018: 4.61 t/ha).
