Grain export 2019/20: 23 mln t of grain shipped to foreign markets

Since the start of 2019/20, Ukraine has exported 23.13 mln t of staple grains. As of November 22nd, the commodities shipment increased by 6.17 mln t compared to the relevant period of the previous year, the information and analytical portal of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine reports.
The grain export structure in the reporting period is as follows:
- wheat — 12.9 mln t (4.01 mln t more y-o-y);
- barley — 3.45 mln t (450 thou. t more y-o-y);
- corn — 6.47 mln t (1.75 mln t more y-o-y);
- rye — 5 thou. t (60.8 thou. t less y-o-y).
As a reminder, by November 20th harvesting of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine was conducted on the area of 14.9 mln ha or 98% of the total. The crop reached 73 mln t using the average yield of 4.89 t/ha (2018: 4.67 t/ha).
