SFGCU Odesa terminal transshipped 700 thou. t of grain since the season's start

In the first seven months of 2019/20 (June–July), Odesa Grain Terminal of the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine (SFGCU) increased grains transshipment by 2.5x from 278.8 to 690.7 thou. t.

As reported by the Corporation, Mykolaiv Port Elevator preserved last year's indicators for the relevant period at the level of 230 thou. t.

"A well-developed network of 55 regional branches allows SFGCU to purchase grain from producers in 20 regions of Ukraine and export it via its own port facilities. The company's priority is to ship its own grain, as it allows accumulating profits within the company," the message reads.

The company also noted that for the last 7 months, it exported more than 800 thou. t of its own grains, while another 80 thou. t were sold under commercial orders of the counterparties.

Over six months of 2019/20, SFGCU port elevators provided for the transshipment of 1 mln t of grains.

As a reminder, staple grains export from Ukraine has reached 37.93 mln t since the start of 2019/20 (July 2019 – June 2020). As of Feb. 12, agricultural commodities shipment increased by 8.2 mln t YoY.
