Soybean export revenue reached USD 830 mln in Sep-Apr

As of 1 May 2020, soybean export from Ukraine in the 2019/20 season(September-August) totalled 2.54 mln t worth USD 828.7 mln, the Ukroilprom Association reports.
In the reporting period, sizable soybean import was made by:
- Turkey: 0.827 mln t (32.6%)
- EU: 0.583 mln t (23.0%)
- Egypt: 0.436 mln t (17.2%)
- Belarus: 0.33 mln t (13.0%)
- Lebanon: 0.121 mln t (4.7%)
- other countries: 0.239 mln t (9.5%)
In the 2020 season, soybean areas in Ukraine will be reduced by 20% or by 376.7 thou. ha to 1.45 mln ha (2019: 1.82 mln ha).
As a reminder, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy supported the abolition of soybean-rapeseed amendments and signed the bill No. 1210.
