Organic producer Ritter Bio Agro refused from sugar beet this season

Ritter Bio Agro, Deddence Agro and Kunivs'ke Group do not have sugar beet in their crop rotation system in the current production year as it is economically unprofitable to invest in this industrial crop, AgroTimes reports.

"We have put sugar beet cultivation on hold for a year, and from 2021 we plan to grow about 400 ha of it," said Viktor Shcherbachuk, CEO of the Group.

For the same reason, the companies gave up growing mustard, millet, buckwheat, flax and lentils. At the same time, the Group increased corn and soybean areas: these crops are highly profitable and consistently in demand in the market.
