Grain stocks plunged 40%

Grains and pulses stocks in Ukraine as of July 1, 2020, totalled 5.5 mln t, 3.6 mln t of 39.5% lower YoY.
As provided by the data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, agricultural commodities volumes stored at specialized enterprises are as followed:
- wheat: 1.8 mln t
- corn: 2 mln t
- sunflower: 1.4 mln t
- barley: 1.4 mln t
- rye: 48.8 thou. t
Agricultural enterprises stored 3.6 mln t of commodities, processing and storage facilities 1.8 mln t.
Earlier it was reported that Egypt's GASC bought 115 thou. t of Ukrainian wheat during a tender on July 21.
In 1H 2020, wheat export from Ukraine totalled 5.4 mln t. The 15 largest exporting companies account for more than 80% of the major bread cereal shipment.
