Egypt's GASC held tender after wheat price reduced, Ukrainian origins most attractive

Egypt's General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) bought 115 thou. t of Ukrainian wheat during a tender on July 21, Agritel reports.
As reported, despite the requested 180-day payment period, CAF(Cost and Freight) prices are lower than the prices set on recent tenders on July 13.
"COFCO and Kernel managed to offer the most attractive prices for loading at the end of August. The GASC tender came after a EUR 3 drop on Monday on the Euronext wheat market," the message reads.
Refinitiv Agriculture specifies that wheat was purchased from:
- COFCO: 60 thou. t at USD 208.98 and USD 15.50 of freight from the port of Ochakov, USD 224.48 C&F
- Inerco Trade (a Kernel subsidiary): 55 thou. t at USD 213.5 and USD 13.78 of freight from the port of Chernomorsk, USD 227.28 C&F
In 1H 2020(January-June), wheat export from Ukraine totalled 5.4 mln t. The 15 largest exporting companies account for more than 80% of the major bread cereal shipment.
