Egg production in Jan-July 1.2% lower YoY

In Jan-July 2020, birds' eggs production in Ukraine totalled 10.09 bln units, 1.2% less from the comparative period of 2019 (10.21 bln units), the State Statistics Service of Ukraine data show.

Commercial eggs production in the reporting period reached 5.37 bln units, which is 1.3% less YoY (Jan-July 2019: 5.46 bln units).

In seven months of 2020, egg production by household farms declined by 0.6% to 4.7 bln vs. 4.75 bln eggs in Jan-July 2019.

Earlier it was reported that Ovostar Union export sales of shell eggs in 1H 2020 totalled 169 mln (1H 2019: 335 mln).
