Largest Ukrainian RTK stations network entered the market under FarmRTK brand

The largest network of RTK(Real Time Kinematic) stations under the brand name FarmRTK entered the Ukrainian market in 2020. FarmRTK separated from Frendt and became a separate company as a result of the growing demand for RTK-systems from agriproducers.

"In Frendt we could not focus more on the development of this area. We developed it whenever we had time to. But eventually, we noticed that more and more people wanted to implement these technologies. We decided to establish a separate company to render better service to agriproducers, to form a team of service personnel," explained Vitaliy Shuberanskiy, founder of FarmRTK and Frendt companies.

FarmRTK operates over 130 stations that cover the whole territory of Ukraine, and today it is the largest Ukrainian network of RTK stations.

In addition to RTK signal, FarmRTK provides agrarians with the RTK station (as a product) and RTK modem. Vitaliy Shuberanskiy noted that RTK modem levels the existing problems with coverage of mobile operators in Ukraine, as it works with a number of them.

"Our modem selects an available provider, and we then transmit the data uninterruptedly. It rarely happens that there is no network at all," said Vitaliy Shuberanskiy.

According to him, in 2020 about 100 new RTK modems of the company's design were sold. However, the company did not expect that all products would be sold so quickly. Vitaliy Shuberanskiy considers that this was driven by the fact that the company managed to get a signal where the others do not have one with a 2 GSM modules modem.

He added that the payback period of the RTK system for farms with a land bank over 500 ha is one year.

"If we take European farmers, they, compared to Ukraine, have relatively small land banks. Accordingly, the issue of effective land bank management becomes the only way for them to increase profits. Therefore, people who say that they do not have enough land to innovate are definitely wrong. We do need to work in this direction," said Vitaliy Shuberanskiy.
