IMC gets ready for spring crops planting, machinery setups in progress
The agroholding IMC is conducting the preparation for the spring crops sowing campaign as scheduled. Practically all the company's machinery is ready for fieldwork, IMC’s COO Oleksandr Verzhykhovskyi informs on Facebook.
All necessary spare parts and new equipment and aggregates were ordered and received on time, making it possible to start servicing the equipment that will be used in the 2021 sowing campaign right after the 2020 harvest was completed, he marks.
"The terms of winter wheat top-dressing and the application of mineral fertilisers for spring crops were somewhat delayed as the fields were snowed in for a long time, but I am confident that all the technological processes planned for spring 2021 will be completed on time," comments Oleksandr Verzhykhovskyi.
According to him, the company plans to start sowing in the second decade of April, first sunflower and then corn. He notes that winter has ensured a sufficient level of moisture in most fields. In addition, the sowing campaign is planned to be completed around May 10.
