Sowing Online 2020/21: spring crops 28% planted by Apr 22

As of April 22, spring grain and leguminous crops were planted on 2.12 mln ha in Ukraine, which makes up 28% of the planned 7.52 mln ha, the data of the Sowing Online project show.

Planted areas in Ukraine as of the reporting date:

  • wheat: 157.5 thou. ha or 89% of the planned 176.6 thou. ha
  • barley: 1.2 mln ha, 87% of 1.39 mln ha
  • oats: 152.5 thou. ha, 79% of 194.05 thou. ha
  • peas: 208.7 thou. ha, 89% of 235.4 thou. ha
  • sugar beet: 144.4 thou. ha, 64% of 226.9 thou. ha
  • corn: 386.6 thou. ha, 7% of 5.33 mln ha
  • sunflower: 1.2 mln ha, 19% of 6.4 mln ha
  • soybean: 15.71 thou. ha, 1% of 1.4 mln ha

Agriproducers have also started buckwheat and millet planting.

In 2021, Kernel will plant sunflower and corn on 415,000 ha.
