Sugar beet cultivation 2021: key production regions in Ukraine

As of May 6, the sugar beet campaign was completed in 11 regions of Ukraine, 6 regions are still sowing this crop, the data of the Sowing Online project show.
On the reporting date, sugar beet was planted on 223.07 thou. ha or 98% of the planned 226.9 thou. ha. The area under sugar beet is forecast to expand by 13% YoY or 25.3 thou. ha (2020: 201.6 thou. ha).
