TERRA FOOD certified to Protek level-2 first in Eastern Europe

TERRA FOOD is the first among dairy companies in Eastern Europe to receive an international certificate of sanitary and hygienic safety of workplaces Protek level-2 from Intertek.

As reported, the audit was carried out and was successfully passed at once at two TERRA FOOD enterprises — the Belotserkovsky Dairy Plant and the Tulchinsky Butter and Cheese Plant. The audit evaluated the processes and controls based on the expanded requirements for the hygiene program, including:

  • training and timely communication on the fulfillment of the requirements for the implementation of anti-epidemiological measures;
  • introduction of control based on risk analysis and strengthening of sanitary and hygienic requirements at all stages.

The company marks that after the audit both plants received an assessment of compliance with all requirements at a level above 90%.

“The issue of health and safety of both employees and consumers is at the forefront of the work of TERRA FOOD. During a pandemic, it sounds especially poignant. Obtaining a certificate from authoritative international auditor guarantees that the company complies with all standard procedures and procedures that confirm a high level of hygiene, quality of ingredients, finished products, etc.,“ comments Tatiana Dubova, head of the TERRA FOOD quality department.

It is the third international audit TERRA FOOD has passed this year.

Previously FAO reported that the global dairy prices in May were 28% higher YoY.
