Ukraine and Poland signed a memorandum on the construction of a pipeline to transport vegetable oil to the port of Gdańsk, which was discussed in late August.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food and the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Infrastructure of the Republic of Poland have signed a quadripartite memorandum on the project of a cross-border pipeline through which Ukrainian vegetable oil will be transported.

In the near future, Ukraine and Poland will create a working group to develop technical specifications and conditions for the construction of the pipeline and the two terminals.

"For the last six months, we have been working to increase the volume of exports of Ukrainian agricultural products through the crossing points at the border with the Republic of Poland. The work on the reduction of lines at the Ukrainian-Polish border continues," said Mykola Solskiy, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

In March-July 2021/22, over 1 mln t of sunflower oil was exported from Ukraine, 46% down YoY.
