Crop 2023: early crops harvest reaches over 16.5 mln t in Ukraine

Early grains and legumes harvest in Ukraine was completed on 3.78 mln ha as of August 3. The crops yield 4.4 t/ha on average, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reports.
Farms have harvested 16.57 million tons of grain, including:
- wheat: 12.5 mln t on 2.698 mln ha (60%), the avg. yield 4.64 t/ha
- barley: 3.7 mln t on 939 thou. ha (66%), 4 t/ha
- rapeseed: 3.31 mln t on 1.182 mln ha (86%), 2.81 t/ha
- peas: 306.4 thou. t on 125.3 thou. ha (83%), 2.45 t/ha
Farmers in nine regions of Ukraine have completed harvesting peas. Producers in Dnipropetrovsk region have started collecting buckwheat.
