russia kills seven people in another attack on Ukraine's deepwater ports, a Panama-flagged container ship damaged
On October 9, russia attacked the port infrastructure of Odesa region with a ballistic missile. In the attack, 8 people were killed and 11 wounded, the Governor of Odesa Region Oleg Kiper reported.
"The enemy targeted the port infrastructure again. The enemy hit a Panama- flagged civilian container ship. Unfortunately, the enemy attack killed six people and wounded eight (as of 10:34 pm, October 9 – ed.), four of whom are in critical condition. All the victims are citizens of Ukraine. They are currently being provided with all necessary treatment," Kiper wrote on Telegram.
According to Oleksiy Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine — Minister for Communities and Territories Development, a civilian vessel under the flag of Panama, the container ship Shui Spirit, was damaged in the attack. This is the third foreign vessel attacked by russia in the last four days.
