Ukroilprom reports sunflower, soybean and rapeseed stocks as of early June
As of June 1, 2026, sunflower seed stocks in Ukraine were estimated at 2.16 million tons. The figures are based on calculations by the Ukroilprom Association regarding oilseed supply and utilisation in the 2025/26 season, obtained by Latifundist.com.
According to the association, total sunflower seed resources in the current marketing year amounted to 10.6 million tons, including 10.2 million tons from domestic production. During the first nine months of the season, 8.41 million tons of sunflower seeds were utilised on the domestic market, primarily for oil processing.
Soybean stocks at the beginning of June were estimated at 1.12 million tons. Total soybean resources for the season are estimated at 5.35 million tons, of which nearly 2 million tons were exported.
The lowest stocks among the major oilseed crops were recorded for rapeseed, at 254,000 tons. Total rapeseed resources for the season amounted to 3.44 million tons, while exports reached 1.86 million tons.
According to Ukroilprom estimates, the largest share of sunflower and rapeseed was directed to domestic processing. Since the start of the season, 8.41 million tons of sunflower seeds and 1.32 million tons of rapeseed have been processed into oil. At the same time, soybeans have maintained a balance between exports and domestic consumption: 1.99 million tons were shipped abroad, while 2.23 million tons were used for processing and other domestic market needs.
As a result, sunflower retains the largest carryover stocks among Ukraine’s major oilseed crops heading into the end of the season, while rapeseed enters the new marketing year with minimal remaining inventories.
