Landbank increase is not a priority for MHP — Kosyuk

The company Myronivsky Hliboproduct (MHP) plans to stake on IT-technologies and "green" energy, and the issue of expanding a land bank will go to the third place in the priority list.

This was told by the owner of the company Yuri Kosyuk during Kiev International Economic Forum, writes AgroPolit.com.

"The agricultural sector is a platform for the development of the IT industry, because there are big cases, smart people who can sell new ideas. We, on our part wherever we work, open various "incubators" where it is possible to realize new interesting ideas. I want MHP to become a business incubator, where people, if they want to create something modern, progressive, could do it," he said.

According to him, MHP will not chase the market with a great desire to increase the land bank.

"The world is changing and so are we. Earlier we talked about land bank, and now we talk about efficiency. We see many examples where people buy different assets and become unhappy with them. And in the end — this is the road that leads nowhere. If it is more profitable to invest in green energy, then we will do it. We say that our interest is determined by the return on investment. The increase of the land bank is less attractive for investors and this issue is No. 3 for us. It does not come first," Yuri Kosyuk noted.
