MHP over 10 years reduced 50% energy consumption for production of 1 kg of chicken — Kosyuk

Group of companies Myronivsky Hliboproduсt (MHP) over the past 10 years reduced energy consumption for the production of 1 kg of chicken by 50%.

This was informed by Yuriy Kosyuk, founder and CEO of MHP, during the panel discussion "How technologies and innovations change the Ukrainian agribusiness" in Davos, Switzerland.

"We reduced 30% gas consumption. The consumption of feed per kilo of chicken was also reduced 20%. Business is more effective if advanced technologies are used and if the consumption of energy resources is lower," he said.

Yuriy Kosyuk also noted that large companies naturally have a higher potential.

"The efficiency of production will show who is right and who is wrongwhen chosingthe technology. Large companies have a higher potential. We have IT specialists, because we are ready to pay them more and provide what is necessary for the development."
