Oleg Bakhmatyuk affirmed readiness to pay off all bank debts

The owner of UkrLandFarming and Avangard holdings, the former owner of VAB and the Financial Initiative banks, Oleg Bakhmatyuk, said he was ready to pay off all bank debts, but the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) refused to negotiate, informs Interfax-Ukraine.

According to Oleg Bakhmatyuk, the National Bank was offered a constructive approach, but it was not accepted.

"The National Bank ignores negotiations. There was a strong opposition from the leadership: Gontareva did not want to deal with this issue at all," he said.

Oleg Bakhmatyuk claimed he had proposed to move to interest-free payment of debts to banks, but "as a result, the tactics of "a thousand cuts" was used against him. In addition, the businessman informed the NBU about the Government's support, but this did not helpful.
