As of May 10, the structural divisions of the company NIBULON planted about 13.5 thou. hectares of corn and 18 thou. hectares of sunflower, which is 81 percent and 86 percent of the planned sowing areas, respectively.

Sorghum and soybean are sown on 50 percent of the planned areas.

As of the reported date, sowing of corn, sunflower, sorghum and soybean in Nikolaev, Poltava, Vinnitsa and Khmelnytsky regions is fully complete. As for the eastern, central and northern regions, the sowing of spring crops is almost finalized.

NIBULON plans to complete the whole complex of works this week.

"The peculiarity of the current agricultural season is a very short spring with high temperatures. This caused a high rate of work performance. In particular, even at the beginning of the second decade of April, we completed 100% of the second fertilizing of winter crops. Fertilizers were also applied in the area of about 40 thou. hectares while spring crops sowing. Treatment of winter crops with PPPs was carried out," Konstantin Khmelnitsky, Deputy General Director for Agricultural Production, commented.
