Vietnam welcomes Ukrainian wheat again

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam adopted a resolution on the resumption of wheat imports from Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Grain Association (UGA) informs that it has been resolved to resume imports of Ukrainian wheat and implement strict phytosanitary control when importing grain from Ukraine.

"Opening of the Vietnamese market for Ukrainian wheat will expand the geography of Ukrainian exports. This is a great achievement of Ukraine — both of business and government bodies, with which we have worked the last three years," says the President of the Ukrainian Grain Association Nikolai Gorbachev.

He also added that this is a sign of the high quality of Ukrainian grain in world markets and a confirmation of Ukraine's reputation as a reliable international partner in the grain industry.

Reference: experts project that by 2022 Ukraine should increase grain exports to 70 million tons, therefore, Ukrzaliznytsya should provide an opportunity to ship about 5 million tons of produce per month by rail.
