Cargill and M.V. Cargo grain terminal is 80% ready

Cargill and M.V. Cargo grain terminal in Yuzhny sea trading port (Odessa region) is 80% ready-for-service.

"The project is implemented at 80%, we are confidently approaching the finish. In spring we completed the implementation of the first phase, which included the construction of a station for unloading wagon cars, a truck unloading station, a floor storage warehouse for 80,000 tons of grain, and auxiliary infrastructure," the message writes.

The second line of silos is being constructed and the berth No. 25 is almost complete.

"Two lines of vertical storage warehouses will accept grain already in October of this year," the company specified.

Reference: on June 1, 2018, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko opened the first start-up facility of Cargill and M.V. Cargo grain terminal in Yuzhny sea trading port (Odessa region).

Note: M.V. Cargo is constructing a grain terminal for Cargill in the port of Yuzhny. The planned storage capacity is 290 thousand tons. The complex will be equipped with 14 silos 15 thousand tons each and an 80 thousand tons warehouse. The terminal is equipped with its own railway and automobile infrastructure. The car unloading station is capable of passing 790 cars a day, the station for unloading wagons — 256 cars per day. The terminal will ensure the transshipment of 10% of grain produced in Ukraine. The design capacity of Cargill and M.V. Cargo terminal in Yuzhny is 5 million tons of grain a year. The total amount of investment in construction is estimated at USD 150 mln.
