Ten silos installed at Cargill terminal

At the construction site of Cargill and M.V. Cargo grain terminal in Yuzhny seaport (Odessa region), ten silos out of fourteen planned have been installed.

The GSI silos are installed at the terminal, each being a nine-story building high and having the capacity of 15 thou. tons of grain.

"In total, they can accept 210 thou. tons of grain — this is 8.500 trucks, or 3.000 wagon cars, or almost three Panamax vessels 80.000 tons each, or one capesize," the company informed.

At the terminal, the two lines of the silo towers are offset relative to each other. It's is noted, that this arrangement was not accidental since it allowed for a more rational use of space.

Reference: on June 1, 2018, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko opened the first start-up facility of Cargill and M.V. Cargo grain terminal in Yuzhny sea trading port.

Note: the design capacity of Cargill and M.V. Cargo terminal in Yuzhny is 5 million tons of grain a year. The total amount of investment in construction is estimated at USD 150 mln.
