Biggest importers of Ukrainian chicken named

Ukrinform reports a rise in exports of Ukrainian chicken by 8.2% (184.6 thousand tonnes) over the past 7 months of 2018. In 2017, the exports reached only 169.5 thousand tons over the same period.

Financially, the exports grew by 22% turning 290 million USD of profit compared to 226.4 million USD in January-July 2017.

“The past 7 months of 2018, the main buyer was the Netherlands buying 16.5% of the exports (chicken fillet and carcass). Besides, the geographical coverage of exports includes such countries as Iraq – 12.7%, Slovakia – 9%, Azerbaijan – 5.7%, the UAE – 4.9%, Saudi Arabia – 4.6%,” informs the analytical department of Ukrainian Food Export Board  (UFEB)

Analysts admit that imports during the seven months of the year showed positive dynamics as well. The increase amounted to 25% (73.3 thousand tons during January-July of 2018 compared to 55.3 thousand tons in 2017).

Reference: in the first half of 2018, Myronivsky Hliboproduct (MHP) agri-industrial holding increased the exports of chicken by 9% to 133.56 thousand tons compared to the same period in 2017.
