Grain exports from Ukraine approach 6 mln tons

Since the start of MY2018/19, as of September 5, Ukraine exported 5.75 million tons of grain, which is 881 thou. tons less y-o-y.
According to the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the crops were exported in the following volumes:
- wheat — 3.11 mln tons (–327 thou. tons y-o-y);
- barley — 1.37 mln tons (–674 thou. tons);
- corn — 1.21 mln tons (+67 thou. tons);
- rye — 24 thou. tons.
Reference: the prices for Ukrainian corn on the domestic market collapsed (–500-550 UAH per ton) against the backdrop of high harvest forecasts in Ukraine, as well as under the Chicago pressure.
