AMCU fined Czech Mabon for violation of legislation when acquiring Agromino shares

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) fined Czech Mabon investiční fond s proměnným základním kapitálem a.s. UAH 510 thou. for the violation of antimonopoly legislation when acquiring the shares of Agromino A/S (Copenhagen, Denmark).

“The company was fined for violating the law on the protection of economic competition in the form of concentration by acquiring control over Agromino A/S, without obtaining the relevant permission of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, which is obligatory,” the message says.

The AMCU authorised Mabon investiční fond s proměnným základním kapitálem a.s. for the acquisition of Agromino A/S shares, which provides for the excess of 25% of the votes in the supreme management body of the company.

Previously it was reported that Agromino net loss in 1H 2018 amounted to EUR 2.8 million (profit of EUR 9.5 million in 1H 2017).

In Ukraine, Agromino manages 46 thou. hectares of farmland in Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Kirovohrad regions.
