Nika-Tera Jan-Feb cargo turnover exceeds 1 mln t

In January-February 2019, as of February 27th, the Sea Specialized Port Nika-Tera (a structural division of Group DF), provided for the transshipment of 1 million tons of cargo.

The transshipment indicator for the first two months of 2019 significantly exceeded the indicator of the corresponding period of 2018 (638 thou. tons, the million milestone was reached at the end of March).

The port continues mastering new technologies of cargo receiving and transshipment.

In February 2019, the first train of railway platforms with specialized containers for the transport of bulk cargo came into the port. Nika-Tera unloaded a shipment of 88 containers loaded with corn on 44 platforms weighing more than 2 thou. tons.

For the implementation of a new cargo handling scheme, containers were unloaded from railway platforms to container trucks inside the port. In the context of grain wagons shortage, Nika-Tera considers this technology of transshipment promising and plans to continue applying it not only for the delivery of grain cargo but also processed products, including meal.

Earlier it was reported that SSP Nika-Tera was included in the TOP-5 largest private stevedoring companies of Ukraine.
