Wheat exports from Ukraine overstepped 13 mln t

Since the start of 2018/19, Ukraine delivered 38.6 million tons of grain to the foreign markets, including 13.3 million tons of wheat, the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection (SSUFSCP) informs.

In the reporting period, milling wheat exports reached 8.6 million tons, whereas forage wheat supplies amounted to 4.7 million tons.

Shipments of barley totalled more than 3.2 million tons, and corn — 21.4 million tons.

In the current marketing year, oilseed crops export accounted for 3.9 million tons. In the prior year's comparative period, this indicator stood at 4.5 million tons.

As of April 8th, early spring grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine are sown on an area of 1.9 million hectares, or 82 pct of the projected areas.
