Saudi Arabia dominates the Ukrainian barley exports in 2018/19
In the 2018/19 season, Saudi Arabia became the key importer of the Ukrainian barley having procured 2.3 mmt of grain, Agritel reports.
Far behind, there is China with 321 kt and Libya with 260 kt.
Barley shipments have dropped by 693 kt compared to the previous campaign and have amounted to 3.596 mmt.
By the State Fiscal Service data as of July 1st, 15.57 mmt of wheat were exported from Ukraine, 1.56 mmt less from the previous seasons. Indonesia, Egypt, Philippines, Bangladesh and Morocco are the main five purchasers of the Ukrainian wheat.
"Wheat and barley exports during the new campaign should rise to reflect the increase of production for the two cereals in Ukraine," the message says.
In the 2018/19 season, grain exports from Ukraine reached 49.74 mmt. This volume is 21 percent (10.37 mmt) higher from the indicator for the last year's comparative period (39,37 mmt).
