Grain export 2019/20: grain shipment volumes up, except rye

Since the start of 2019/20, Ukraine delivered to foreign markets 7.62 mln t of grain and leguminous crops. Commodities shipment increased 2.89 mln t from the prior year's comparative period, 4.72 mln t.

By the data of the Agrarian Ministry, grain exported volumes in the reporting period are as follows:

  • wheat —  4.07 mln t (up 1.44 mln t y-o-y);
  • barley — 1.75 mln t (up 465 thou. t y-o-y);
  • corn — 1.78 mln t (up 734 thou. t y-o-y);
  • rye — 1.4 thou. t (12.1 thou. t less y-o-y).

In the 2018/19 season, grain exports from Ukraine reached 49,74 million tons. This volume is 21% (10.37 mln t) higher from the indicator for the last year's comparative period (39.37 mln t).
