A new soybean processor and trader established in Ukraine

Theeuwes Holding B.V. and Royal Agrifirm Group have announced the agreement of combining forces completion, as a result of which, a decision was made to create a new company, CHV Protein.

From October 1st, 2019, all soybean production and sales of all soybean products will be carried out by the new legal entity CHV Protein.

The company Thegra Ukraine will focus its efforts on trade and export activities in the market of agricultural products — cereals, legumes, oilseeds and niches, the company says in a statement.

Victor Theeuwes, co-owner of Theeuwes Holding B.V., said, “Combining the forces of the two companies will help us to connect a team of experienced experts in feeding with Thegra Ukraine's production facilities. The market is changing rapidly and requires new innovative products. CHV Protein will focus on improving the quality of the available product and developing new ones. By combining the forces of CHV Korm and the plant in Haisyn, we plan to significantly strengthen our position in the Ukrainian market, as well as continue to increase exports.”

According to John Vandenboorn, CEO of CHV Korm, the newest modern laboratory of CHV Korm will help to improve the quality control of incoming raw materials and products. CHV Protein will provide its customers with the product that is best suited for feeding animals, he notes.

As a reminder, soybeans harvest in Ukraine as of September 26th reached 2 mln t on 867 thou. ha or 55% of the total area under the crop, using the average yield of 2.34 t/ha.
