Harvest Online 2019: grains yield 10 pct up YoY

As of October 18th, harvesting of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine was conducted on the area of 12.9 mln ha or 84% of the total. The crop reached 56.5 mln t using the average yield of 4.46 t/ha (2018: 4.07 t/ha).

By the Harvest Online 2019 project, the new crop volumes are as followed:

  • buckwheat — 85 thou. t on 64 thou. ha or 94%, 1.33 t/ha;
  • millet — 150 thou. t on 80 thou. ha or 89%, 1.87 t/ha;
  • corn — 17.7 mln t on 2.7 mln ha or 54%, 6.58 t/ha;
  • soybean — 3.2 mln t on 1.4 mln ha or 88%, 2.33 t/ha;
  • sunflower — 13.1 mln t on 5.4 mln ha or 93%, 2.42 t/ha;
  • sugar beet — 5.6 mln t on 129 thou. ha or 58%, 43.7 t/ha.
