Harvest Online 2019: 5 pct of sunflower areas uncropped

As of October 23rd, harvesting of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine was conducted on the area of 13.3 mln ha or 87% of the total. The crop reached 61 mln t using the average yield of 4.56 t/ha (2018: 4.19 t/ha).

By the Harvest Online 2019 project, the new crop volumes are as followed:

• buckwheat — 86 thou. t on 65 thou. ha or 96%, 1.33 t/ha;
• millet — 151 thou. t on 81 thou. ha or 90%, 1.87 t/ha;
• corn — 20.9 mln t on 3.1 mln ha or 63%, 6.69 t/ha;
• soybean — 3.4 mln t on 1.5 mln ha or 93%, 2.32 t/ha;
• sunflower — 13.5 mln t on 5.6 mln ha or 95%, 2.43 t/ha;
• sugar beet — 6.4 mln t on 146 thou. ha or 66%, 43.9 t/ha.
