Germany raises transport quota for Ukraine

The German Government will increase transport quotas for Ukraine by 2020, the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine informs.

"In 2020, the German Government will increase the number of permits by 4,000 to 2,000 for vehicles that meet the Euro-4 and Euro-5 standards," the message reads.

The increase in the number of quotas for international road transport was driven by the increase in trade turnover between the two countries.

As reported, Ukraine and Germany have agreed that the permit is valid for travel in and out in bilateral or transit traffic. The permit also allows for a combination of two different modes of transport (bilateral and transit), during a single round trip in direct and return traffic.

The permit also applies to transportation to and from third countries if the vehicle passes through the territory of the country of its registration.

Previously reported that in 9M 2019, Ukraine exported 98.94 thou. t of poultry meat (chicken) to the EU, 4.2% more from the relevant period of 2018.
