Currency gain from beef exports tops USD 100 mln

In the period of January-November 2019, beef export shipment from Ukraine reached 35.04 thou. t for the amount of USD 106.9 mln.
The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine reports that this indicator is 36x higher from import volumes to the country in 10M 2018 — 1 011 t worth USD 4.38 mln.
Fresh or chilled beef shipment totalled 14.12 thou. t worth USD 40.88 mln. Key importers in 11M 2019 are as followed:
- Belarus — 10.9 thou. t, USD 31.8 mln;
- Turkey — 3.01 thou. t, USD 8.7 mln;
- Azerbaijan — 87.5 t, USD 253 thou.;
- others — 38.1 t, USD 110 thou.
Frozen meat shipment in Jan-Nov amounted to 20.9 thou. t worth USD 66 mln. Basic importers in the reporting period are as followed:
- Kazakhstan — 7.29 thou. t, USD 22.9 mln;
- Belarus — 4.2 thou. t, USD 13.3 mln;
- Azerbaijan — 4.1 thou. t, USD 12.9 mln;
- others — 5.32 thou. t, USD 16.78 mln.
Previously reported that Ukraine exported the first shipment of frozen beef to the People's Republic of China in November of the current year.
