Grain export shipment from Ukraine approaches 32 mln t

Since the start of the current marketing year 2019/20, Ukraine has exported more than 31.7 mln t of grain crops. As reported by the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection (SSUFSCP), staple grains shipment volumes are as followed:

  • wheat — about 15 mln t (more than 11.7 mln t of food wheat, and 3.2 mln t of feed);
  • barley — 3.6 mln t;
  • corn — about 12.8 mln t.

In the prior year's comparative period, grain export from Ukraine crossed 24.8 mln t, including:

  • wheat —10.8 mln t (6.7 mln t of food wheat, and 4.1 mln t of feed);
  • barley — more than 3 mln t;
  • corn — 10.4 mln t.

Oilseed crops export since the start of 2019/20 reached 5 mln t vs. 3.2 mln t in the corresponding period of 2018/19.
