Grain export 2019/20: wheat shipment at 13.5 mln t

Since the start of 2019/20, Ukraine has exported 24.81 mln t of staple grains. As of December 2nd, commodities shipment increased by 6.01 mln t from the comparative period of the previous year, the information and analytical portal of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine reports.

The grain export structure in the reporting period is as follows:

  • wheat — 13.47 mln t (4.06 mln t more y-o-y);
  • barley — 3.49 mln t (470 thou. t more y-o-y);
  • corn — 7.52 mln t (1.52 mln t more y-o-y);
  • rye — 5 thou. t (62 thou. t less y-o-y).

As of November 27th, harvesting of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine was conducted on the area of 15 mln ha or 98% of the total. The crop reached 74.3 mln t using the average yield of 4.93 t/ha (2018: 4.7 t/ha).
